Trump says Friday tariff deadline ‘will not be extended’

President Donald Trump said he would not extend the deadline date on Friday to restart the “mutual” tariffs in dozens of countries.

“August is the first deadline, August is the first last date – strong and will not be extended. A big day for America !!!” Trump wrote Real social Wednesday morning.

Trump claimed that he would not extend a deadline date before he continued to do so.

In early April, Trump announced that the United States will apply almost 10% blanket tariff ratio worldwide, as well as individualized tasks up to 50% for dozens of countries.

After days of panic and confusion from investors and world leaders, Trump paused higher tariff rates for 90 days, which would see that they were restarted on July 9.
