Noem claims Biden used DHS to invade US with terrorists at cabinet meeting

Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem harshly criticized President Donald Trump’s predecessor during a Cabinet meeting at the White House on Tuesday.
At her ninth Cabinet meeting of Trump’s second term — matching the number former President Joe Biden held during his four-year term — Noem spoke toward the end of the panel-style session.
Noem told Trump he had given her a “very interesting job.”

“If you think about what Joe Biden did with the Department of Homeland Security, he used that department to overrun the country with terrorists. He opened the borders, let anyone in who wanted to come in,” Noem said.
“He put them on planes, let them through our airports, opened the door and invited them in if they could find a way to get to our shores and our country. So it’s our job to get them out.”
Noem added that other Cabinet members helped her in some way in her quest to lead DHS last year.

He used the example of Secretary of State Marco Rubio negotiating with other countries on travel documents and intergovernmental relations; This includes DHS seeking “third countries” to send people to be deported.
“We will also send more homes during the holidays and enable them to be with their families in their countries,” he said. “Yes. Mostly the bad ones. That’s true. And there are a lot of them.”
Attorney General Pam Bondi said she was assisting DHS by fighting on behalf of the United States in court as the administration came under attack from liberal states and organizations over its immigration enforcement operations.

Noem also announced the upcoming hiring of 10,000 ICE officers brought on board since Trump took office.
Since Tropical Storm Chantal was the only Atlantic hurricane to make landfall in the United States — while Hurricane Melissa separately devastated Jamaica — Noem also quipped that FEMA was helping and “keeping hurricanes away.”
He said Trump blocked the fentanyl trade at the southern border and Secretary of State Pete Hegseth blew up narcoterrorists’ boats in the Caribbean Sea.

Noem also said DHS is reviewing Minnesota programs related to bringing immigrants into the state.
“Which means that crazy Governor Walz was either an idiot or he did it on purpose.”

“And I think they are both, sir; he illegally brought in people who should never have been in this country, said they were someone they weren’t. Said they were married to his brother or someone else, filed fake visa applications, signed up for government programs, took hundreds of billions of dollars from taxpayers, and we’re going to take them out and get our money back.”
Walz told The New York Times that the programs were “set up to get money to people.”
“Programs are set up to improve people’s lives, and in many cases criminals find the loopholes,” he said.
