Noida dowry murder case: Two days later, brother-in-law arrested

The police said on Monday, August 25, 2025, said that 26 -year -old woman Nikki, who was allegedly flared up for the dowry in Greater Noida, was arrested.

Police said in a statement, Rohit (28) defined as the defendant, Sirsa Toll Chauraha was arrested by the Kasna police, he said.

Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita’s 103 (1) (murder), 115 (2) (voluntarily causing pain) and 61 (2) (trying to commit crimes with life prison or others) under the sections of the police station on August 22, a lawsuit was recorded at the police station.

Police said Rohit had escaped since anger in the region.

Nikki’s husband Vipin, brother Rohit, his parents are among those accused in Fir. Three of them were arrested.

Nikki was allegedly beaten, and then his husband Vipin Bhati and his mother -in -law were set on fire at their homes in Sirsa Village in the Great Noida on Thursday night.

Nikki, who is married to the same family, wandered on social media on a wide range of social media. One clip showed that Nikki was dragged by his hair, and the other was walking down the stairs in the flames before he collapsed.

Vipin Bhati was arrested on Saturday, August 23, 2025 and was then shot in the leg allegedly attempted to escape from the police on Sunday. His mother Daya (55) was arrested on the same day. Police said Vipin had grabbed a gun of a sub -inspector and shot at the officers while accompanying the evidence and wanted the police to retaliate.

The case attracted a lot of attention for claiming that Nikki’s family has faced torture and increasing dowry demands for years since his marriage in 2016. They already said that they had given a scorpion SUV, a motorcycle and a gold jewel, but the demands later rose to a cash and even a luxury car RS 36 Lakh.

Married and witnessed in the same family, his sister Kanchhan, said that Nikki was attacked in front of his younger son.

He also claimed that Nikki was wetted with a flammable liquid and set on fire. According to the police, Nikki succumbed to their injuries while being taken to a hospital in Delhi.

The victim’s father Bhikahri Singh said that his daughter Kanchhan and Nikki were married to Rohit Bhati and Vipin Bhati brothers respectively in 2016.
