North Shore beach closed after fin spotted 50 feet off shore, officials say

After a potential shark view, a North Shore beach will be closed for the next two hours.

Rockport police, stage, beach and lifeguards about 50 meters away from the shore, allegedly allegedly seeing a fins in Long Beach was reported just before 11 o’clock, he said.

The lifeguards cleaned the swimmers from the water and immediately called the police.

Officers, together with Harbormmaster, responded to boats to verify what happened in water.

Long Beach and Cape Hedge beaches will remain closed to swimmers for at least 2 hours in accordance with Rockport’s shark vision policy.

“During this time, public security officials will continue to make a decision about when to reopen after the first closing window passed and will continue to make determinations.”
