Manhunt launched after schoolboy, eight, is ‘sexually assaulted in tent’ while camping with his family

A human hunting was launched after being sexually assaulted while a eight -year -old school child was camping with his family.
The police applied for an appeal for information after the Drumnadrochit incident on the Loch Ness in Scotland.
Between the midnight and 01:00 on Thursday, July 31, 2025, a man approached the child in his tent in the Loch Ness Bay camp area.
The suspect is described as a man between the ages of 40 and 50, about 5FT 10ins tall and bald and white.

Comprehensive questions continue and expert officers support the child and family.
Detective Inspector Christopher Macleod said: ‘A private civil servant team is conducting an investigation and it is vital that we watch the responsible man as soon as possible.
I urge everyone who has knowledge to come to the fore. If you are in the camp area or around yesterday evening and have noticed anything or anything suspicious, please contact us.
“When the investigation continues, there will be an important police presence in the region. Please call Police Scotland if you have any concern or information or through 101 of the 101 incident.
