Northern Army Commander visits LAC in Eastern Ladakh, reviews operations preparedness

Northern Army Commander Lieutenant General Pratik Sharma visited forward areas along the Sino-Indian border in Ladakh and reviewed operational and defense preparedness along the Line of Actual Control (LAC), officials said.

Lieutenant Sharma on Thursday witnessed ‘Exercise AstraShakti’ symbolizing the preparedness, innovation and indomitable spirit of the Northern Command in the icy heights of the Union Territory’s high-altitude areas, officials said.

“Lieutenant General Pratik Sharma on Thursday visited forward positions in the Tangtse sector of Eastern Ladakh to review operational readiness and defense readiness,” they said.
After being briefed on the current security situation and ongoing developments, the Northern Army Commander praised the soldiers for their unwavering dedication, high readiness and professional excellence while working in difficult terrains and extreme climatic conditions.

They said the interaction provided a significant boost to the morale of the troops serving there.
