Northern trains cancelled as massive blaze threatens Glasgow Central | UK | News

Rail operator Avanti West Coast has confirmed that there will be no train services to and from Glasgow Central on Monday following the emergency incident on Sunday.
In an online statement, a spokesperson for the rail operator said a “modified train service will run to Preston, Carlisle and Motherwell, connecting customers to Edinburgh with trains and the Glasgow area with local services” but that “customers are strongly advised to check before travelling.”
The spokesman added that passengers holding an Avanti West Coast ticket issued for services between London Euston and Glasgow Central on Monday can use them on any LNER service along the East Coast Main Line.
If you are able to postpone your journey, customers with tickets from Glasgow Central to London Euston dated Sunday 8 March or Monday 9 March will have their tickets honored on any Avanti West Coast train on Tuesday 10 March.
An Avanti West Coast spokesperson added: “Alternatively, if you have to abandon your journey due to disruption you can request a free refund from where you purchased your ticket.”
