Not Sridevi, Kajol, Vidya Balan, Shabana Azmi, Rani Mukerji; this leading lady has won most Filmfare Awards for Best Actress

Alia Bhatt has won six Filmfare Awards for Best Actress, becoming the first actress to complete a hat-trick by winning the award three years in a row.
Filmfare Awards are among the most prestigious awards in Bollywood. The awards, which started with only five categories in 1954, have expanded significantly this year, for the 70th time, with awards given in more than 30 categories. The Best Actress award has been a part of the ceremony since its inception and Meena Kumari bagged the first award for her performance in Baiju Bawra.
Alia Bhatt broke the record of winning the most Filmfare Awards for Best Actress by clinching her sixth Best Actress award at the 70th Filmfare Awards held in Ahmedabad on October 11, surpassing five-time honorees Nutan and Kajol in this category. Alia also became the first actress to score a hat-trick by winning three Filmfare Awards for Best Actress in three consecutive years.
Alia Bhatt received her first Filmfare Award for Best Actress for the 2016 crime drama Udta Punjab. He won the award again two years later for his performance in the 2018 patriotic drama Raazi. He continued his winning streak the following year with a third award for his 2019 musical drama Gully Boy.
The Student of the Year actress won her fourth Filmfare Award for Best Actress for the 2022 biographical crime drama Gangubai Kathiawadi. He repeated his success the following year and was honored with the 2023 romantic drama Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. Alia completed a hat-trick by winning her sixth award with her 2024 action thriller Jigra.
Meanwhile, Alia Bhatt has two films to release. The first of these is the action thriller Alpha, which is the next chapter of YRF Spy Universe and also stars Sharvari and Bobby Deol. Alpha is scheduled to be released around Christmas 2025. There is also the movie Love & War starring Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal and will be released on March 20, 2026.
