Raghav Chadha appointed chairman of Rajya Sabha Committee on Petitions

New Delhi Rajya Sabha MP Raghav Chadha, who recently switched from AAP to BJP, has been appointed as the new chairman of the Upper House Petitions Committee.

Rajya Sabha chairman CP Radhakrishnan nominated 10 members of the assembly to the panel after reconstituting the Petitions Committee.

“Raghav Chadha has been appointed as the Chairman of the Committee,” the Rajya Sabha notification said. It was stated that the panel was reconstituted by the Rajya Sabha chairman from May 20.
Members of the panel other than Chadha are: Harsh Mahajan, Gulam Ali, Shambhu Sharan Patel, Mayankkumar Nayak, Masthan Rao Yadav Beedha, Jebi Mather Hisham, Subhasish Khuntia, Rwngwra Narzary and Sandosh Kumar P.

In another notification, the Rajya Sabha secretariat said: “The President Rajya Sabha nominated Dr. Menaka Guruswamy, Member of Rajya Sabha, as a member of the Joint Committee on the Corporate Laws (Amendment) Bill, 2026 on 20 May 2026.”
