Emergency services responded to a British seaside town by taping off part of the street after a man’s body was found. Police are investigating the incident in an alley next to the Post Office on Percy Park Road in Tynemouth on North Tyneside.
A spokesman for Northumbria Police said: “Shortly after 8.05am today (Monday), we received a report of concern regarding a person on Percy Park Road, Tynemouth. Emergency services attended the scene where the body of a man was sadly discovered. There is now a police presence in the area and inquiries are ongoing to formally identify the person and notify next of kin. There are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding the man’s death and a report into the incident will be made to the coroner in due course.”
