NTA UGC NET December 2025 Answer Key Released: Check direct link, steps to raise objections and more

The National Testing Agency (NTA) on Tuesday released the provisional answer key for the University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (UGC NET) December 2025 exam. Candidates appearing for the exam will now be able to access the provisional answer key, recorded answers and question papers on the official website, ugcnet.nta.nic.in.

This version allows candidates to review their answers before the final result is announced.


Provisional answer keys cover the exams held on December 31, 2025 and January 2, 3, 5, 6 and 7, 2026. Along with the answer keys, NTA has also uploaded subject-wise question papers and answer forms for all candidates.

UGC NET December 2025 answer key: Objection window

Candidates who are not satisfied with any answer in the provisional key can appeal. The objection window will remain open until 23.50 between January 14 and January 17, 2026. Competitions must be submitted online within the specified period, as no requests will be accepted after the deadline.


To raise an objection, candidates must pay a non-refundable processing fee of Rs 200 per question. Payments can be made via debit card, credit card, net banking or UPI. Objections made without payment will not be taken into consideration.

UGC NET December 2025 answer key: How to appeal?

Candidates can follow these steps to check the answer key and submit their objections:

  • Visit the official website: ugcnet.nta.nic.in
  • Click “View Question Paper” to check the saved answers
  • Click “View Answer Key/Ask a Question”
  • Select the question and option to query
  • Upload supporting documents into a single PDF file
  • Register claims and pay required fee

All challenges will be reviewed by subject matter experts. If any objection is deemed valid, the answer key will be revised accordingly. The final result will be prepared according to the revised answer key, and individual candidates will not be informed about the acceptance or rejection of their objections.
