NTR’s Devara Sequel Announced, Sparks Excitement Among Fans
On the first anniversary of Devara, the producers officially confirmed the sequel 2, which led to a madness among the fans. The original action drama played by Jr NTR in bilateral roles as Peder Devara and his son Varadha was published on September 27 last year and is one of the most ambitious storytellers of director Koratala Siva’s Telugu cinema.
The team celebrated the milestone on social media on Saturday: wrote:
“A year has passed since Havoc hit the shores, every beach tremor, and the name the world remembers.
The first film ended with a gap that left the jaw that constitutes the continuation of the epic. Although JR NTR and Koratala Siva have previously implied that a sequel was inevitable, fans now have official approval.
Devara also introduced Janhvi Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan to Telugu Cinema, supported by a strong community such as Prakash Raj, Srikanth, Shine Tom Chacko, Narain, Kalaiyarasan and Murali Sharma. JR NTR, Fresh Off War 2 (released in August 2025) will revive the bilateral avatars and promise higher octane action and emotional drama in the sequel.2
With Devara 2, streets, screens and fans are preparing for the next wave of destruction – this time with filmmakers’ another war in the sea waters.
