NYC mayor Zohran Mamdani faces blowback over Trump Iran strike post

Zohran Mamdani, the socialist mayor of New York City, is facing backlash from conservatives on social media for his post condemning the US attack on Iran, which led to the killing of Iran’s religious leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

On Saturday, as the joint US and Israeli attack on Iran unfolded, Mamdani sharply criticized the Trump administration’s decision. Publish on X It has been viewed nearly 20 million times.

“Today’s military strikes against Iran by the United States and Israel mark a catastrophic escalation in the illegal war of aggression,” Mamdani wrote.
