Queen’s 2025: Dan Evans causes upset but Cameron Norrie out

Evans wants to rebuild his ranking by falling to 199 from his 21st career in the world a few years ago.
Considering an introduction to Queen’s, the 35 -year -old American Tiafoe made a difficult start this year in the quarter -finals of the French Open.
However, Tiafoe usually competed on the grass and Evans fully benefited, playing some of his best tennis over the years to demand an impressive plain win.
When Evans focused on establishing a partnership with Andy Murray in the Paris Olympics last year, it lowered more than 110 ranking points, so it was appropriate for this impressive screen to arrive in the newly called Arena from Scot.
The couple reached the quarter -finals in Roland Garros with the last of Murray’s long and famous career.
Later, he asked how much Murray inspired his own career, Evans said: “Not only mine, but the whole British tennis.
“He always has time for everyone and he has a sought arena after that.
“The Olympics was one of the best things I did. This is something that would stick to me forever and I am very proud to play with it [Murray]. “
Evans, which was encouraged by the crowd of vocal house, looked comfortable from the beginning, drew attention as a challenging 37 shot on the way to buy the first set.
Tiafoe saw more and more disappointed signs because it wasn’t in the way of things, and a five -game winning series saw the command of the second set.
Evans, “Days like today, no matter what this week, why I continue – here and put my game on the field and enjoy.”
“I am very pleased to win. It was probably one of my best performances I’ve ever played.”
