Odisha is first choice for investors, says Minister Sampad Chandra Swain at Enterprise Odisha event

Bhubaneswar (Odisha) [India]December 7 (ANI): Odisha emerges as investors’ first choice as state government approves projects worth ₹7 lakh crore since June, Odisha Minister Sampad Chandra Swain said.
Speaking at the curtain raiser of the flagship industry event on Sunday, Swain said the state’s growing investment climate was a result of strong government initiatives and improved infrastructure. “We have approved over 200 million investments since June 24” ₹7 lakh crore, which will create 4.5 lakh employment opportunities… Odisha is the first choice of investors,” the minister told ANI on the sidelines of the 25th CII ‘Enterprise Odisha’ event in Bhubaneswar.
Organized by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), the event is celebrating its 25th anniversary and will be held in Rourkela from January 16 to 28. The logo and official promotional video of ‘Enterprise Odisha’ were launched at the Bhubaneswar event.
Reflecting the state’s commitment to industrial growth and sustainable development, he said, “A logo was unveiled here today and a video was also released to promote it. This is the 25th edition of CII and both CII and the Odisha government are working tirelessly to take this forward.” he said.
He emphasized that Odisha’s investor-friendly policies, abundant natural resources and expanding infrastructure are the key reasons behind growing investor confidence. “Considering Odisha’s opportunities, infrastructure and Odisha government’s industry-friendly initiatives, I appeal to all investors, policy makers, startups, MSMEs and related businesses to collaborate and leverage the growth prospects in Odisha,” Swain said. he said.
The 25th CII ‘Odisha Initiative’ is expected to serve as a platform for stakeholders to explore new partnerships, showcase innovations and discuss strategies to enhance the industrial and economic landscape of the state. (MOMENT)
