Office party hangover from hell: Reveller left fighting for his life after drinking liquid nitrogen cocktail served by celebrity chef

A man was left fighting for his life after a liquid nitrogen cocktail served by a celebrity chef at a corporate Christmas party in Moscow ‘ruptured’ his stomach.
The incident occurred at a party held at the Igra Stolov ‘Board Game’ cooking studio, where guests were entertained by a theatrical ‘cryo show’ by the unidentified chef.
According to media reports in Moscow, the chef prepared lavish cocktails using liquid nitrogen, which is commonly used in professional kitchens to instantly freeze ingredients but is dangerous if swallowed before it has completely evaporated.
Eyewitnesses said guests were not warned about the risks and claimed the chef encouraged one person to drink the cocktail immediately.
Amid laughter, the guest, identified as Sergey, 38, complied, with disastrous consequences.
Sergey was seen clutching his stomach in pain and then collapsing to the ground.
Doctors later determined that liquid nitrogen caused the gas in his body to rapidly expand, rupturing his stomach.
He was taken to intensive care, where surgeons performed emergency surgery to repair the torn organ.

The man collapsed in pain and had to be rushed to intensive care after the drink made him nauseous.
The party participant was later reported to be conscious and recovering, but doctors said his condition was serious.
Liquid nitrogen boils violently at room temperature, and experts warn that consuming it before it evaporates can lead to serious internal injuries or death.
What was supposed to be a festive office celebration ended in panic and guests were reportedly left in shock as paramedics struggled to save the man’s life.
Swallowing liquid nitrogen is extremely dangerous.
When swallowed, it quickly turns into gas in the body and its volume expands hundreds of times.
This sudden expansion can cause severe internal pressure and lead to stomach rupture, internal bleeding, and organ damage.
Extreme cold can also freeze internal tissues, exacerbating the injury.

Beverages prepared with liquid nitrogen are safe only when all the nitrogen has evaporated.
If even a small amount remains, swallowing it can be life-threatening.
Medical experts warn that direct consumption of liquid nitrogen has previously led to fatal injuries.
Its use in beverages is strictly regulated or discouraged in many countries.
In 2015, a woman’s life and health in the United Kingdom changed when she was given the Nigtro-Jagermeister vaccine. It contained liquid nitrogen.
He collapsed in pain and had to be taken to hospital; Here, his stomach was removed and connected directly to his small intestine to save his life.
