Officials Are Making Arrangements To Take Up Works Under The VB-G Ram G Scheme From December 26 To 31.

NIZAMABAD: To protect migration of people and provide them with employment in indigenous places, Vikas Bharat Guarantee (VB-G RAM G) employment scheme for Rozgar and Ajeevika Mission is making arrangements. Plans and budget for the 2026-27 financial year will be announced. For this purpose, field staff will visit villages across the state between 26-31 December. Work will be carried out in rural areas with the cooperation of the public.

The central government has renamed the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme and changed the norms of the scheme. In particular, working days increased from 100 days to 125 days. If workers apply for a job, it must be provided within 15 days. According to the new norms, the state government has to give allowances to workers who cannot provide jobs. While the state share was previously 10 percent, it has now been increased to 40 percent.

In addition, under the VB-G RAM G program, a 60-day gap will be provided during the busy crop season, and new jobs for 2026-27 will be determined during field visits to be held between 26-31 December. Gram sabhas and study days, which were tentatively held two months ago in the state, will be completed. Various works will be carried out, especially forest and road construction. Women’s aid groups will play a key role in completing the work in the villages. Gram sabhas will be held at Gramaikya Bhavans in the villages.
