Growing up in Wisconsin, it was relatively easy for Jordan Stolz to get into speed skating.

Water freezes early and often does in the frozen tundra, which has made the Midwest a hockey hotbed.

But watching Apollo Anton Ohno as a child, this direction was natural for the 21-year-old actor.

This past February, he fulfilled his dream by taking home not one but two Olympic gold medals.

Of course, winning one is an achievement, but celebrating the other three medal races wasn’t so easy.

“Yeah, it’s pretty tough,” Stolz told Fox News Digital in a recent interview. “So I wanted to celebrate but I was actually focused on the 500m because it’s just a day off and then the 500m final.”

Stolz’s first gold medal came in the 1000 meter race, but the pressure was on to take second place in the 500 meter race.

“I felt like I really needed to earn this $500. So I wasn’t really messing around at all,” he said. “So I wouldn’t say it’s hard not to celebrate, but it’s gotten a little bit harder to compete the whole duration of the games, especially with the 1,500 and once I start there’s so much time in between. And there are things that could suck.”

It took a lifetime of training, both on and off the ice, for Stolz to be able to bring home the hardware, because what goes into Stolz’s body may be more important than what he does on the rink. Aware of the importance of this, Stolz ensures that her stray cat Mitzi, who came out to her porch to look for food when she was still a teenager, receives similar nutritional treatment. Nulo food.

“I’m very careful about what I put in my body. Now I just eat crappy food, I don’t pay much attention, and I’m like, man, I feel like garbage,” Stolz said. So it’s like I get a feel for what bad quality food is like. So Mitzi, I don’t want her to be malnourished because she doesn’t even have a choice, right? It’s up to me to give him what’s right. That’s why I choose to give him a Nulo.”

While Stolz achieves his goal, there is still work to be done. And it may not actually have to wait until 2030 to do so.

“I will continue training until the next Olympics,” Stolz said. “Do a few World Championships, World Cups, we’ll see what I can do.

“I might try some cycling this summer, maybe on Los Angeles 28, but we’ll see.”
