One killed and six injured after shooting at Pennsylvania’s Lincoln University | Pennsylvania

At least one person was killed and six others were injured late Saturday in a shooting at Lincoln University in Pennsylvania as students and alumni were celebrating homecoming at an outdoor festival at the historically black university, authorities said.
Chester district attorney Christopher de Barrena-Sarobe said at a brief news conference early Sunday that a person with a firearm was in custody and authorities were investigating the possibility of more than one attacker, but they did not believe there was an active threat to the campus.
“We don’t have a lot of answers as to what exactly happened,” he said. “What I will tell you is that today we are acting as if this is not an incident where someone came to a college campus with the intent to cause mass harm.”
Authorities said the shooting occurred around 9:30 p.m. outside a large building called the International Cultural Center. Here, tents and tables were set up for tailgating and socializing after a football game earlier in the day.
“It was a chaotic scene and people ran in all directions,” the district attorney said. He asked anyone who has video of the scene or other information that could assist in the investigation to contact the FBI.
Authorities did not share details about the victims, including their conditions or where the injured were treated.
The campus is approximately 50 miles (80 km) southwest of Philadelphia. Chester County detectives are conducting the investigation with support from state police and the FBI.
