Kate cheers on William at charity polo match in Windsor – as Harry appears at Invictus event in Birmingham and Meghan ‘brings Archie and Lilibet to the UK’
The Princess of Wales watched a polo match in Windsor today as her brother-in-law Prince Harry held the Invictus Games events more than 100 miles away.
Catherine wore a casual, sleeveless gingham dress, a departure from her more typical formal style, while cheering on husband Prince William at the Guards Polo Club.
She paired her Temperley dress with Camilla Elphick’s £260 slingback heels and was accompanied by William’s equestrian, Squadron Leader Mike Reynolds.
The Prince of Wales also appeared in good spirits ahead of the DMMI Royal Charity Polo Cup, wearing a beige jacket, blue shirt and navy trousers.
He later swapped these for his ‘4’ navy blue jersey and jodhpurs as he joined his teammates on horseback; The princess was cheering on her from the sidelines alongside Peter Phillips and Harriet Sperling, who married each other last month.
Meanwhile, William’s estranged brother Harry was in Birmingham as he began the one-year countdown to the Invictus Games at the National Exhibition Center (NEC).
Harry won a wheelchair rugby exhibition match and was casually running around the field, gleefully hitting opponents with tries.
His wife, the Duchess of Sussex, who was due to attend the event but did not fly to England with Harry earlier this week due to security concerns, was missing.

However, Meghan is expected to travel with her children Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, leading to rumors of a meeting between the King and his grandchildren.
In an interview on ITV’s This Morning, host Alison Hammond told Harry his family should appreciate him, to which he replied: ‘They don’t tell me every day they’re proud of me, but yeah I’m proud of them, they’re proud of me; I love my family.’

Today’s event also marked William’s 15th appearance at the annual Windsor event, which has become a major fundraiser for the future King’s charities.

Catherine last attended the charity polo match in 2023 and the following March, the future Queen announced that she had been diagnosed with an undisclosed form of cancer following planned abdominal surgery.
Currently in recovery, the mother of three is going from strength to strength, having recently completed the Three Peaks Challenge to spread the message of life after cancer.
Harriet was typically elegant as she opted for a sky blue shirt dress, strappy nude sandals and a whimsical £425 straw bag from Anya Hindmarch.
Funds raised today will be distributed to 10 charities and causes supported by William and Catherine, including Wales Air Ambulance and Evelina London Children’s Hospital.
Catherine recently carried out low-key work at the hospital, which treats some of the capital’s sickest children and young people, bringing smiles and joy as she highlighted Evelina’s expansion project.
The total money raised at this year’s polo match is expected to rise to over £15 million to support the vital work carried out by charities close to the Prince and Princess’ hearts.
This follows William’s series of engagements in Hastings yesterday; The King and Queen visited London Zoo.
