ONGC gas well fire extinguished after five-day battle

Following the gas leak in the Mori-5 well belonging to the Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC), a huge fireball, reaching 20 meters high and 25 meters wide, exploded near the villages of Mori and Irusumanda on January 5.
The gas well, located in the lush green and well-irrigated Konaseema district, is owned by Deep Industries Ltd, the Production Development Contractor (PEC) of ONGC, an Ahmedabad-based company. It was operated by.
Following the disaster, ONGC senior management took direct operational control.
ONGC Crisis Management Team struggled to extinguish the fire for about five days and managed to extinguish the fire.
Fortunately, there was no loss of life or injury in the disaster.
