Security forces launched a search operation in a village in Jammu and Kashmir’s Samba district on Sunday, April 5, 2026, following reports of three suspicious persons moving around, officials said.

A resident of Bedh Khad in Darui district reported seeing three unidentified men, one carrying a heavy backpack, walking along a dried stream under cover of darkness.
Suspecting them to be terrorists even though no weapons were visible, the local police’s Special Operations Group launched a search operation to track down the suspects with the help of the Army and paramilitary forces.

Authorities said that search efforts are continuing in the village and surrounding areas, but no contact has been made with suspicious people so far.
