OpenAI vows safety policy changes after Tumbler Ridge shooting

In a letter to Canadian officials written Thursday by OpenAI’s vice president of global policy and shared with media outlets, the company said it has implemented a number of changes in recent months, including enlisting the help of “mental health and behavioral experts” to evaluate cases and making police referral criteria “more flexible.”
