Opposition Leader Sussan Ley writes to US over Australia’s decision to recognise a Palestinian state

The opposition leader Sussan Ley wrote to American politicians, claiming that the decision to accept Palestine “did not reflect the opinion of the majority of the Australians”.
Prime Minister Anthony Albanian, Australia’s attitude towards Palestinian recognition, while defending the United Nations General Assembly is preparing to meet with the French President.
In his letter, Ley drew attention to a decision survey in August, showing that 44 percent of voters believe that the government should not recognize the state, 32 percent thought that the government should wait until Hamas was abolished, and 24 percent took action to recognize the state of the Labor Party.
In a statement on Monday, Ley said, “I am writing to guarantee that this decision, which is taken by the workers’ government to the congress at the moment, has not enjoyed bilateral support in Australia. The Federal opposition opposes this decision and we need to establish the government.
The opposition leader also pointed out his plans to visit the United States at the beginning of December and said his concerns to the Israeli Foreign Minister on social media.
Albania and Emmanuel Macron will live in New York on Tuesday (Aest) for the third official meetings in which the conflict in the Middle East will be on the agenda.
The Prime Minister will also address a summit of world leaders gathered to discuss the next steps and a final two -state solution to end the war between Israel and Hamas.
Negotiations will be chaired by Mr. Macron and Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
Mr. Albania will use the speech of the Palestinians to compare the Jews of the Palestinians before the creation of Israel.
“Australia, who recognizes Palestine, recognizes the legitimate and long -standing desires of the Palestinian people, Alban says Albania.
“This means a real hope for a place they can call home.
“This is the same as the hope of the continuation of the Jewish people of generations.”
In his speech to the two -state solution conference, Albania will call the Israeli government to “accept the share of responsibility için for the“ humanitarian disaster ”in Gaza.
An area of countries uses this session of the UN General Assembly to recognize Palestine, including Australia, England, Canada, France, Portugal, Malta and Andorra.
Approximately 150 or more than three quarters of the UN member states are now recognizing their state.
Australia faces the return of 25 US Republicans, which proposes “punishment measures ına to countries that recognize the Palestinian state.
The grouping of harsh Israeli supporters, including former presidential candidate Ted Cruz, says that the countries that now choose to recognize Palestine are “rewarding terrorism”.
Mr. Albania is still trying to face a face -to -face interview with Donald Trump, and probably will talk to him at least at least a leading reception on Wednesday (Aest).
However, after the White House came to New York on Tuesday (Aest), Mr. Trump announced a list of the leaders of the country, which will make bilateral meetings with Mr. Trump, there are doubts that Mr. Albania will be successful in securing the meeting.
Australia was not on the list read by the White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt.
Ms. Leavitt also contradicted the decision to announce the support of Australia and its allies Canada and Britain to a Palestinian state, all of them with Mr. Trump.
