Oscar Piastri second on grid behind Charles Leclerc

In the dying second of the Hungarian Grand Prix’s last round, Oscar Piastri threw McLaren to Lando Norris, close to 1 Turn to regain the leadership of the race.

Australian was locked and Norris, who miraculously kept his tires alive in a strategy for 39 rounds, was strengthened to win the race and beat his teammate for 0.698 seconds.

An elegant Piastri congratulated his teammate and said McLaren had done a great job.

“I don’t know if Leclerc has the right call, but we can finally go,” Piastri said when asked about the team’s different rubber strategies.
