Oscars 2026 WORST dressed: All the stars suffering fashion flops on the red carpet
The 2026 Academy Awards are finally here, which means there’ll be some seriously memorable fashion fails as A-list stars hit the red carpet before the show kicks off.
The big event, arguably the biggest awards show of the year, will take place at the Dolby Theater in Hollywood and is scheduled to feature comedian Conan O’Brien as the host.
This year’s competition is going to be fierce, especially the race for Best Actor in a Leading Role.
Timothee Chalamet was nominated for his role in Marty Supreme; Leonardo DiCaprio for One Battle After Another, Ethan Hawke for Blue Moon, Michael B. Jordan for Sinners, and Wagner Moura for The Secret Agent were nominated.
Kate Hudson was nominated for Best Actress for her role in Song Sung Blue and competed with Rose Byrne in If I Had Legs I’d Kick You, Jessie Buckley in Hamnet, Renate Reinsve in Sentimental Value and Emma Stone in Bugonia.
Many of the year’s biggest films, including Sinners, Marty Supreme and Bugonia, were also nominated for Best Picture.
Ahead of tonight’s ceremony, stars attended the awards in a series of sartorial nightmares and over-the-top outfits.

Chainmail vibe! Oscar presenter Conan O’Brien’s wife, Liza Powel, wore a dress with a chain upper part and a simple black skirt. She completed the look with a straight bun and diamond earrings as she stood next to her husband, who wore a classic black tuxedo.
Business casual? Diane Warren looked like she was heading to the office rather than the Oscars as she wore a dark navy silk suit with a bejeweled black turtleneck underneath. She completed her look with shiny black boots
Costume party or Oscars? Novelist Maggie O’Farrell wore a bright pink, silky cape dress with a black belt around the waist on the red carpet. She tied this together with a pair of black lace gloves and a black mask, as well as a chunky black necklace.
Very exaggerated! Actress Auli’i Cravalho looked like she was attending the Met Gala rather than the Oscars as she wore a strapless, cream-colored gown with a huge skirt made of tulle. Tying her look together with two diamond necklaces, the top featured two oversized, sculptural roses as busts.
Prom night…or is it? Actress Chase Infiniti arrived at the Oscars wearing a lilac halter dress and a ruffled skirt. The dress had lace on the chest and waist. She paired her look with minimal jewelry like a silver choker necklace and diamond bracelet.
