Paedophile crashes after driving into oncoming traffic to evade police | News

A pedophile ran into oncoming traffic while running from police on the day of his first court appearance for illegal images of children.

Footage released by Cambridgeshire Police on Wednesday (November 12) showed Luke Jarrett, 26, driving erratically before plunging his car onto the side of the road as police chased him on the A47.

Police said Jarrett, who will stand trial at Cambridge Magistrates’ Court on September 22, “clearly did not want to face justice” for possessing indecent images of children and “this may have been behind his careless and dangerous driving”.

At Peterborough Crown Court on Wednesday (November 5) Jarrett, of Lords Lane, Wisbech, pleaded guilty to dangerous driving and distributing an indecent image of a child and was sentenced to three years and four months in prison.
