Pak terrorist killed near LoC in Baramulla, says Army

An unidentified terrorist was killed near the Line of Control (LoC) in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Sunday, March 15, 2026.
The Army said there was “specific intelligence information passed by the J&K Police regarding an infiltration attempt” following which a joint operation was launched in Uri Sector, Buchhar on the night of March 14-15.
“Alert troops detected suspicious movement of a terrorist in the bushes. The ambush was rearranged and the terrorist was challenged, which led to the terrorist opening indiscriminate fire. During the encounter, a Pakistani terrorist was neutralised. War-like caches including AK rifle, pistols and large quantity of ammunition were seized,” the army said.
The army said that the operation called Operation Diggi 2 continues in the region.
