Pakistan escalates handshake drama, accuses BCCI of influencing Andy Pycroft in letter to ICC

Pakistan may have withdrawn the threat of exit from the Asian Cup, but the match referee’s failure to approve Andy Pycroft remains unchanged. As a result, the PCB sent another letter to ICC that asked Zimbabwe’s replacement of Richie Richardson for the future matches of the team.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) renewed a second letter to the International Cricket Council (ICC) late on Tuesday night, demanding the dismissal of Pakistan’s ongoing Asian Cup and renewing its protests against the match referee Andy Pycroft. Although they withdrew their first threats to withdraw from the tournament, PCB is determined to believe that Pycroft’s actions during Pakistan’s group match against India on Sunday weakened the spirit of the game.

In his previous response, ICC had previously rejected the PCB’s first complaint. However, the Board of Directors has now increased the issue and expressed their dissatisfaction with what they thought as a “routine and despising” response from the global cricket management organ.

According to a PCB Insider, quoted by Hindustan Times, the Board of Directors wrote a second letter to ICC, a second letter, which was not satisfied with what a response called “only formality, and argued that Andy Pycroft should not continue as a referee. “We sent another letter to ICC. We are not satisfied with the answer.

PCB officials say that their latest messages bring true concerns about Pycroft’s so -called prejudice and the role of the post -game problem after India won Pakistan. Even the important thing from Richie Richardson to the UAE, which is still expected to work from Richie Richardson, wants a match referee for the rest of the games.

The problem began when Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav and his teammates did not shore hands with Pakistani players after the match on Sunday. Suryakumar said that this was to honor the people who were injured in the last expensive terrorist attack and to honor the Indian Armed Forces that started in response to the Sindoor operation.

In his complaints, PCB said that Pycroft has broken Article 2 of the Rules of ICC for the match officials and that the actions are contrary to the spirit of the game and made the jack to look bad. Instead of calming things, the Board said that the match referee’s orders have made things more hostile and strange.

“Gravity, political nature/background and comprehensive results and reflections,” Gravity, the abuse is discredited to the game, “he said.

ICC has not yet said anything to the public about this second letter, but resources say they would probably not change their minds before. This ongoing stress puts ICC and Asian Cup organizers into a difficult point with the political issues in India-Pakistan cricket games.
