Pakistan spy accused vlogger Jyoti Malhotra visited Kerala on govt invitation, reveals RTI

Malhotra was a part of a tourism promotion campaign organized by Kerala Tourism Department and financing a group of social media impressives to increase the digital visibility of the state as a travel target.
The RTI response confirms that Malhotra was completely met by the department during the visit of travel, accommodation and route costs.
According to official records, Jyyi Malhotra visited Kannur, Kozhikode, Kochi, Alappuzha and Munnar under the government’s influence attempt between 2024 and 2025. The participation was listed alongside some other digital creators active between January 2024 and May 2025.
The investigations have announced that Malhotra has been traveling to Pakistan many times since then and contacted authorities from the Pakistintelligigige agencies, including the Pakistan Supreme Commission personnel. Such an official was later fired by India after his associations appeared.
Malhotra is one of the 12 people arrested in Punjab, Hareana and Uttar Pradesh. As part of a coordinated pressure against a suspicious spy ring, ‘Traveling with Jo’, many of them, many of them before Pakistan, host 487 videos before Pakistan, allegedly aimed at gathering intelligence. Kerala is participating in a Thesam performance in Sari and Kannur.
