Palace staffer sums up working for Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor | Royal | News

A former palace guard was blunt when describing what it was like to work with Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor. In the brutal four-word confession, Paul Page described the former prince as a “rude, terrible little man” who was “obnoxious and arrogant”.

The aide worked at Buckingham Palace from 1998 to 2004. Speaking from his home on the outskirts of London, Mr Page also gave extraordinary insight into Mr Mountbatten-Windsor’s behavior towards palace staff, claiming he would “bully” them and call them “fucking imbeciles”.

Thames Valley Police refused to brief the Home Office before making the arrest, but issued a statement from the National Police Chiefs’ Council to clarify that the NPCC had done so.

Thames Valley police have completed searches at Andrew’s new home on Sandringham Manor, where he was arrested, but the search continues at the Royal Lodge on the Windsor estate.

The King, who was not informed of the arrest in advance, said he learned the news with “deep concern”.

The arrest comes after Thames Valley Police said they were assessing a complaint about the former prince’s alleged sharing of confidential information with late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
