Iran sends huge 2-word warning to Trump as US peace talks on the brink | World | News

Iran’s National Security Council warned there would be “no retreat” in the war with the United States, just hours after Donald Trump pressured Tehran to sign a peace deal. Minister Mohammad Bagher Zolghadr said the country’s army “put up fierce resistance and knocked out the enemy.”
He added: “The country needs unity and solidarity now more than ever, so that Americans and Zionists will also be disappointed in this regard.” This comes after two senior Iranian officials traveled to meet the Prime Minister of Qatar in Doha to discuss a peace deal with the United States.
According to Reuters, the Tehran delegation will be led by Parliament Speaker Mohammed Bagher Galibaf and Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi.
They are joined by Iran’s central bank governor to negotiate the release of frozen funds.
Mr. Trump claimed in a lengthy statement on the social media platform Truth Social that negotiations with Iran were “progressing well.”
But he warned that if a deal was not reached, US forces would “return to the battlefront bigger and stronger than ever.”
He wrote: “Negotiations with the Islamic Republic of Iran are progressing well! This will either be a Big Deal for all or no Deal at all – Back to the front and no shooting, but bigger and stronger than ever – And no one wants that!”
He said Iran joining “would be something special.”
The US President added: “After all the work the United States has done to put together this very complex puzzle, it should be mandatory for all of these countries to sign the Abraham Accords at least simultaneously.”
