Trump’s DOJ accused of censoring Epstein files as entire swathes of documents are redacted

The Justice Department has been accused of redacting all documents in the Epstein files released Friday, angering a public awaiting new revelations about the disgraced New York financier.
The law requiring the release of documents related to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, who died in a New York prison cell in 2019, laid out specific guidelines for what can and cannot be legally redacted.
One of the stipulations was that nothing could be withheld simply because it ’embarrassed’ a government official or public figure.
The idea that the explosive information would be released largely fell short of expectations, about an hour after the Justice Department announced the creation of a searchable website so anyone could review the documents.
The search function still doesn’t work, which means journalists and regular people alike have to sift through hundreds of thousands of pages of material.
Social media users were greatly disappointed that some documents were completely redacted without a single piece of identifying information contained within them.
‘One of the Epstein papers consists of 100 plain pages of fully redacted pdf. Just black rectangles. “There is no space,” one person wrote.
‘The world is run by pedo elites, but the general public will probably never know the full story. ‘90% of the released Epstein files have been fully redacted,’ he fumed.

Social media users were outraged by the complete redaction of many documents released by the Ministry of Justice
‘This can’t be real. Everything [redacted]. This isn’t “publishing” anything, it’s a lack of transparency.’
Brian Krassenstein, one of X’s liberal names, said that he opened a file regarding Ghislaine Maxwell’s case, but saw that the file had been corrected.
Social media users also pointed out that many images in the Epstein files were redacted.
However, some of the photographs in the files have already attracted great reactions.
Former President Bill Clinton, for example, was seen lazing in the pool with Ghislaine Maxwell, Epstein’s ex-girlfriend and sex trafficking accomplice.
Clinton was also seen in a photo with Epstein, in which both men wore highly patterned satin shirts.
Epstein was also seen with Michael Jackson in an undated photo. The late king of pop was also seen with Clinton, but it’s unclear if this was a separate incident.
Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger was seen in the photo sitting at a table between Clinton and Epstein.
Billionaire Richard Branson was also seen in the photo with Epstein.
In the latest bombshell images from the release of the Epstein files, Bill Clinton was seen having fun in the swimming pool with Ghislaine Maxwell.
Epstein was also seen getting close to the former president in the photo published on Friday
In a photo shared on Friday, Clinton was seen with her hands on actor Kevin Spacey’s shoulders.
Sex trafficker Ghislaine Maxwell is among those released and photographed, including outside Number 10 Downing Street.
The context in which the photographs were taken and the date of the photographs are unknown.

This photo was likely from the same day, given that Epstein was wearing the same white robe and his face was covered with a green clay mask.
Photos of actor Kevin Spacey were also included in Friday’s statement, but no photos appeared to show him anywhere near Epstein or Maxwell.
Maxwell, who is currently serving 20 years in prison for her role in the recruitment and sex trafficking of minors for Epstein, is seen in a photo outside the Prime Minister’s office in London.
In another image, Maxwell pulled the front of her top down for the camera. The content of most of these photographs is unknown.
A series of photos of her wearing a party hat appear to be from one of Epstein’s birthday celebrations.
Her face is covered with a green clay mask in another photo, presumably from the same day, given that she’s wearing the same white robe.
It took 30 days for the Ministry of Justice to prepare today’s document dump. When President Donald Trump signed the Epstein Files Transparency Act on Nov. 19, he gave the nation’s top law enforcement agency a month to sift through millions of investigative materials and prepare them for release.
At the press conference planned to be held on drug prices before the announcement, Trump refused to take questions on the subject.
“I think this is a huge statement, and what happened here is the biggest statement because no one thought anything like this was possible,” Trump said. ‘And I think based on that I won’t even be taking questions today because there’s no way I’m going to be taking questions anywhere that compares to what you just witnessed. ‘You’ve just witnessed drug prices drop to levels never thought possible… You didn’t even think it was possible.’
