10,000 Take Part in 4th Sandhya Marines Vizag Marathon

Visakhapatnam: The 4th edition of the Sandhya Marines Vizag Marathon was held on Sunday with the participation of approximately 10,000 participants.

Organized by the Vizag Runners Association, the marathon has attracted runners across generations, from young children to senior citizens, including 90-year-old participants.

The event started with an energetic FrecTaa dance session led by Rafeeq followed by warm-up routines creating a lively atmosphere.

The marathon featured five race categories – 32K, 22K, 10K and 5K, and the timed runs were flagged off by city police commissioner Sankhabrata Bagchi.

The newly introduced 32-kilometer run has become a center of attention, attracting hundreds of participants. Winners in 32K, 22K and 10K timed running categories shared cash prizes totaling Rs 10 lakh.
