Paws in the Park is Toronto Humane Society’s (THS) largest fundraising event of the year funding programs and services like Pet Food Bank, community days, an urgent care program, Pet Parent Support Network, and more.
“Paws in the Park is an incredible celebration of the human-animal bond,” said THS Chief Operating Officer Phil Nichols.
“It’s a joyful way for the community to come together, while making a real difference for animals in need and the families who love them.”
Until Aug. 18, attendees and supporters can take part in the Pledge for Paws campaign to help raise $30,000 for THS’ community support programs. Amazon and Petline Insurance will match donations up to $10,000.
Thanks to donations, 15 dogs and 22 kittens are making the journey from an overcrowded shelter to THS. Adoption conversations will take place onsite on a first-come, first-served basis, so interested adopters should arrive early.
