Carrey’s rep had to confirm that it was indeed him attending the Cesar Awards last month; because a number of fans thought she had been ‘cloned’ due to her striking new look.

The Daily Mail debunked the claim after learning that Carrey himself attended the awards ceremony in France, but that didn’t stop the rumors as many fans wondered if Carrey had gone under the knife.

Afterwards, plastic surgeon Dr. Jeffrey Spiegel spoke to the Daily Mail about possible procedures Carrey may have undergone after reviewing images and videos.

The specialist, who has never treated Carrey, said, “He is 100 percent botulinum patient,” referring to Botox treatment.

‘These treatments are great when done right, but his injector gave him Botox more suited to a woman’s face, causing the eyebrows to be oddly arched.’

Dr Spiegel also noted an ‘unnatural pull’ on his cheek, adding that this may have been caused by ‘string pulling’.

‘This could be due to a poorly performed facelift,’ he shared, emphasizing: ‘These results highlight why it is important to consult with a skilled surgeon about the nuances and differences between surgeries for men and women.’

The cosmetologist later added that Carrey had also likely received some sort of laser treatment ‘to make his face paler’.

But he warned: ‘These need to be lightweight. All of these tools are effective only in the hands of an expert.’
