Former California Nancy Pelosi condemned President Donald Trump as a “despicable creature” and the worst human being on the planet in an interview aired on CNN on Monday.
“He’s just a vile creature. The worst thing in the world,” he said.
“You think he’s the worst thing in the world?” interviewer Elex Michaelson asked.
“I do, yes. I do,” Pelosi agreed.

Voting is underway on California’s Proposition 50 in a special election that will have a significant impact on the fight for the U.S. House majority next year. California voters are deciding whether to pass the proposal that would dramatically change the state’s congressional districts and put the blue state front and center in the political fight over redistricting.
Critics dismissed Proposition 50 as a “power grab” by Democrats, but Pelosi, defending the proposal, said Trump was the real threat to the country. Michaelson noted that Pelosi specifically framed this initiative as a way to push back against Trump.
When asked about his harsh rhetoric, he listed a number of alleged complaints.
“Because he is the president of the United States and he does not respect the Constitution of the United States,” Pelosi said. “He essentially turned the Supreme Court into a rogue court. He abolished the House of Representatives. He alienated the press. He scared people who were legally in our country.”

While Pelosi did not answer whether she would run again in her district, she claimed she would win easily.
“If I decide to run, I have no doubt that I will win. It’s not even a question. It’s not arrogance, it’s confidence,” he said.
He argued that his main priority for now is to win over House Democrats and that Proposition 50 would be the first step toward achieving that.
“The only reason I’m in Congress this term is to win the House Democrats, to protect us from the poison of the Trump administration,” he said.
