90-year-old man hit by a car is fighting for his life Liverpool. Merseyside Police said they received reports of the incident, which occurred on Walton Hall Boulevard at 10.25pm on Saturday, January 31.
strength He said the pensioner was taken to hospital with multiple injuries and was in a critical condition after being hit by the driver of a silver Vauxhall Corsa. Police said the driver, aged in his 50s, stopped at the scene and assisted officers with their inquiries, the Liverpool Echo reported.
Sergeant Phil Everett, of Merseyside Police’s Roads Policing Unit, said: “An elderly man remains in a critical condition in hospital following this incident and our officers are working hard to establish the full circumstances of the collision.”
A portion of Walton Hall Boulevard was closed Sunday morning, Feb. 1, as coroners continued their investigation. Liverpool Echo.
Merseyside Police are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage who was in the area at the time to get in touch.
Mr Everett said: “We would like to hear from anyone who was driving around Walton Hall Avenue at around 10.25pm on Saturday and saw any part of this incident.
“If you have a dashcam, please check that you have not captured evidence that could be vital to our investigations.
“If you live locally and have CCTV please contact us so we can examine it and build an accurate picture of how this happened.”
