Police fire on man with weapon after alleged melee

The police asked the man to drop the machete as he started walking towards a group of women.

“The man refused to walk towards women in the close fight and continued and at that stage, the police officer fired the service gun,” he said.

After examining the body camera footage of the incident, Wood praised the two officers for their courage on stage.

“Police officers appeared among the deceased person who carried a big machete and these women. The actions were brave and I want to record it,” he said.

Wood, when he spoke to the officers last night, “the greatness of what” began to sink, he said.
