Prosecutor Nanette claimed that Patterson had four elderly guests in cancer and invited his home to his home when he needed advice on how to break the news.
Patterson’s alienated husband Simon was also invited to lunch, but he canceled the day before, sent a message and said he felt “very uncomfortable” to participate. The prosecution did not claim to be a reason.
Patterson’s defense lawyer Colin Mandy SC said the hearing was “tragedy and a terrible accident”. He said that his client never intended to harm his guests.
Mandy said that the court panicked Patterson and lied to the police and was overwhelmed after lunch, he never eaten food for mushrooms or had a food founder.

The jury of seven men and five women began negotiations on June 30 and had to unanimously reach decisions in four charges.
Beale, who chaired the hearing in Latrobe Valley Civil Courts in Morwell, made more than one comment on the scope of the extraordinary media during the case.
In the last aspects of the jury, he called on to ignore this scope while taking into account his decisions.
Beale attracted the attention of unprecedented media and excited too much public interpretation, Beale said Beale.
“If any of them has reached your eyes or ears or if they do it during the coming days or during your negotiations, you should pay particular attention not to let them influence you in any way.”
The jury stressed that more than 50 witnesses should not “predict” what the evidence in the case hears, but it can make reasonable consequences to make a decision.
“Before making a guilty decision, prosecution should satisfy you that the accused is guilty of the charges. Erin Patterson does not have to prove anything,” he said.
“It is not enough for the prosecutor’s office to prove that the defendants are probably guilty or guilty. As I told you, it is almost impossible to prove absolute certainty when reconstructing past events, and it does not have to do so.
“A reasonable doubt, imaginary or imaginary doubt or unrealistic possibility.”
