Photos recovered from an encounter site in 2024 helped identify Pahalgam terrorists  

A senior government official said that the three expensive terrorists killed during the Mahadev operation on July 28 were defined and watched with the help of photographs rescued from a mobile phone seized by security forces after encountering them in Southern Kashmir in 2024.

The telephone included several photographs of the three Lashkar-E-Taiba (Let) terrorist, described as Suleman, Interestal Jatt, Hamza Afghani and Zibran.

The photographs were then matched with the accounts of the eyewitnesses in Baisaran Meadow on 22 April, and a search was launched in the Dachigam Forest about 20 km from Srinagar after the terrorist attack.

Interior Minister Amit Shah reported that local technology was used to watch three terrorists in Dachigam Forest on July 29th.
