PIL on ‘detention’ of Bengali-speaking migrant workers: Supreme Court seeks response of Centre, States

On Thursday, August 14, 2025, the Supreme Court agreed to hear a coat claiming that the bengadic workers were detained on suspicion of citizens of Bangladesh.
However, a bench of Syria Kant and Joymalya Bagchi refused to pass any temporary order regarding the arrest and said that any order would have consequences, especially for people coming from the borders.

“This is the right to get information about bonafide from the starting situations of the states where migratory workers work, but it is between problems. He said.
