Player moves, deals, pick trades and more with Charlie Curnow, Zach Merrett, Christian Petracca and Clayton Oliver in the mix for new clubs on day nine
Contracted Carlton star Charlie Curnow has toured suitors’ facilities in Sydney, but there is still a lot of work to be done to reach a deal before Wednesday’s 7.30pm (AEDT) deadline.
Curnow was in Sydney on Monday evening and met with coach Dean Cox again as he explored his options. He spoke briefly to reporters when he arrived at the Swans’ headquarters.

Asked if he was still hopeful of a move, Curnow said: “There’s a bit of playing time, so I’m not too sure. But we’ll see what happens. It would be good.”
Geelong offered Curnow three first-round picks last week, but the Blues summarily rejected it.
While the Swans have a better first-round pick at No. 11 this season (Geelong’s top pick is 19) a player will need to be part of the bid to attract the Blues’ interest. As it stands now, Carlton won’t let Curnow go.
Will Hayward and Ollie Florent are being discussed as Swans players as part of the Curnow swap, but James Rowbottom wants to stay in Sydney.
