Land Resurvey Sparks Farmer Outcry In Villages

Nellore: Hundreds of farmers in the Chejerla Mandal in the Election zone of the Assembly of the Amak are facing the difficulties caused by the major irregularities in land resurrection carried out by income officials during the YSRC period.
Many cultivators cannot sell or even detect the lands they have processed during the generations due to errors in recording land limits and classifications.
Farmers from the villages of Pellur, Thoorpupalli and Pullaneelli, Pellur Gram Panchayat K Siddulu Naidu’nun former-sarpanch with the intervention of Nellore Deputy Vemirereddy Prabhakar Reddy. They claim that the negligence of income personnel and the fact that they are not taken into consideration during the re -updated land records lead to widespread injustice.
In villages such as Pellur, Perumallapadu and Kalayapalem, agricultural patta lands were incorrectly classified as Anadheenam (government land). This left the real cultivators without legal title, which made it impossible for them to sell land, increase loans or switch to varicose veins.
The inconsistencies in land measurements also emerged. For example, in Pellur Village (Sy.no.4), the real scope of 13.92 acres, with new sub -sections such as 2/1 and 4/2, was wrong as 15.24 acres after the reaction. Farmers say that such false classification distorted the ownership records and sowing confusion.
Another major complaint is related to the list of ‘prohibitive properties’ sent to the registration department. In 2018, there were 521.96 acres classified under the prohibitive lands, Pellur Village. After the Resurvey, this rose to 1,609.21 acres. Farmers say that this abnormal increase is effectively freezing, preventing recording or transfer and pushing them into economic distress.
The affected cultivators demanded that the income records be corrected and the correct details to the subcontractor in Podalakur. Without this, livelihoods are at risk. A farmer from Pellur said, ız We cannot sell our land, we cannot get a bank loan and we cannot even prove our ownership.
Responding to the representative, Nellore deputy called on the regional collector to examine the issue thoroughly and take corrective measures according to the rules to protect the rights of farmers. The authority emphasized that people in the region should be urgently to be done to prevent further economic and social difficulties.
In the meantime, farmers warn that unless mistakes are immediately handled, the confidence in the Resurvey process will further erodes and that the cultivators will remain vulnerable to both financial losses and legal disputes. Them
He complained that serious tours in income records were the result of the deliberate tampering of these documents by some authorities in the past.
