PM Modi Describes India-EU FTA as Transformative, Opening Vast Opportunities
New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi said a “historic Free Trade Agreement” with the European Union was concluded on Tuesday, noting that it was lauded as the “mother of all agreements” and a “game changer”.
Addressing the annual NCC rally here, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said the free trade agreements signed by India will create numerous opportunities for the country’s youth.
He said that the world looks at the youth of India with great confidence.”
A historic free trade agreement was reached between India and the European Union. Before that, India had signed free trade agreements with countries such as Oman, New Zealand, England, UAE, Australia and Mauritius. All these agreements will create countless opportunities for millions of our young people. “Today, the whole world looks at the youth of India with great confidence and the reason for this global trust is their skills and values,” he said.
“The agreement reached with the European Union is hailed by the world as the mother of all agreements. It is described as a game-changer for the world. This FTA is your freedom to desire. This agreement was made between India and the European Union, which consists of twenty-seven countries. This will benefit Indian startups. It will become easier for Indian startups to access finance and the innovation ecosystem. This agreement will also greatly benefit our creative economy such as films, games, fashion, digital content, music and music. From research and education to IT and other professional services.” “Under this agreement, customs duties on more than 99 percent of India’s exports will be either zero or very low,” he added.
The Prime Minister also paid tribute to Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, who died in a plane crash on Wednesday.
He said that Ajit Pawar has contributed greatly to the development of Maharashtra and the country.”
