PM Modi inaugurates, lays foundation stone of development projects worth around ₹13,000 crore in Bihar; slams previous Congress-RJD regime for no projects in State

Prime Minister Narendra Modi threw its cornerstones on Friday, August 22, 2025, and opened multiple development projects worth approximately 13,000 Crore in Gaya in Bihar.

Before opening these projects, Prime Minister Modi organized a road trip in the city. Prime Minister Bihar Prime Minister Nitish Kumar, Vice President Samrat Chaudhary and Vijay Sinha accompanied.

This is expected to come to Bihar several times to address public meetings in front of the polls to the State of the Survey since January this year.

Mr. Modi marked Amrit Bharat Express between Gaya and Delhi, which will increase the comfort of passengers with the comfort and security and Buddhist circuit train between Vaishali and Koderma, which will support tourism and religious travels in the key Buddhist places in the region.

The Prime Minister put foundation stone for a series of urban infrastructure projects worth approximately 1,260 Crore. These include the STP and sewage network in Daudnagar in Aurangabad and Jehanabad; Stp and intervention and deflection work in Barahiya and Jamui in Lakhisarai. Under Amrut 2.0, Aurangabad threw the cornerstone of water supply projects in Bodhgaya and Jehanabad. These projects will provide clean drinking water, modern sewage systems and improved sanitation and thus improve health standards and quality of life in the region.

Modi said that his government’s contributions to the state, while every country’s poor people will not rest until they buy Pucca Houses, he said. “So far, 4 crore houses have been built in the country.

In an important development for Bihar’s infrastructure, Mr. Modi opened the Aunt Simaria Bridge project in the NH-31. It is a wonderful 8.15 km long on the Ganga River containing a 6 -lane bridge on the Ganga River. Built at a cost of 1,870 Crore, this bridge promises to revolutionize the connection between Patna and Mokama in Begusarai. The bridge was built in parallel with an old 2-lane ruined railway-yol bridge “Rajendra Setu”, which forces heavy vehicles to re-guide heavy vehicles.

The new bridge, North Bihar (Begusarai, Supaul, Madhubani, Purnea, Araria, etc.) and South Bihar areas (Sheikhpura, Nawada, Lakhisarai, etc.) will also help to reduce traffic congestion problems in other parts of the region due to the deviation that these vehicles are forced to buy. Prime Minister Modi also opened a four-lane Bakhtiiyarpur in the Mokama section of NH-31, worth a 1,900 crore, which will alleviate the blockage, reduce travel time and increase passenger and load movement. In addition, in Bihar, the NH-120’s Bikramganj-Dawath-Nawanagar-Dumraon section will provide connection in rural areas and provide new economic opportunities for the local population. With great support in the health infrastructure, the Prime Minister opened the Homi Bhabha Cancer Hospital and Research Center in Muzaffarpur. The center includes advanced oncology OPD, IPD wards, operation theaters, modern laboratory, blood bank and 24 -bed intensive care unit (intensive care unit) and HDU (high addiction unit). This state -of -the -art facility will provide advanced and affordable cancer care to patients in Bihar and neighboring states and reduce the need to travel to remote metropolises for treatment. Prime Minister Modi, which advances the vision of Swachh Bharat and provides the Aviral and NiRmal Dhara of the Ganga River, opened the sewage treatment plant (STP) and sewage network built under Namami Gange. It will help to reduce the burden of pollution in Ganga and improve the sanitation facilities in the region.

There was no reference for the controversial Sir of the ongoing election rolls in Bihar.

The state parliamentary elections in Bihar will be held in October-November this year.
