Search for four-year-old Gus Lamont turns to recovery mission 10 days after he went missing on family’s outback sheep station

Ian Parrott, a commissioner of the Southern Australian Police Commissioner, said that the family was spoken by officers about the child’s chance of survival a week ago, but teams continued to look for.
“The senior police spoke to Gus’s family and prepared them for the fact that GUS might not survive because of the passing of time, age and the nature of the land where it was missing,” he said.
“This assessment was based on the medical evidence of a doctor who was recognized by Australian rescue authorities as an expert opinion on time zone for survival.
“Even though the participants hoped for a miracle, the search went into a rescue process within the last 48 hours.
“At this point, there was no GUS traces. There were no concrete evidence such as footprints, hats or clothes to help the searchers to define any direction of travel.”

Parrott commented after a footprint on the property during the search, and was theorized to be of a four -year -old child, not to depend on the disappearance of GUS.
SA Police Deputy Commissioner Linda Williams announced on Tuesday that a special drone with infrared technology was sent to look for property during the weekend.
