Poisonous mushroom trial latest as jury announces four verdicts | World | News

An Australian mother was found guilty of killing her alienated husband’s parents and an aunt, offering them a meal bound with poisonous mushrooms. Erin Patterson invited 50 to Don and Gail Patterson, both of them 70 lunch on July 9, 2023 Gail Patterson’s sister Heather Wilkinson, 66.
Patterson was also guilty of Ms. Wilkinson’s husband Reverend Ian Wilkinson’s attempt to kill. Four guests were ill after the lunch of the town of Leongatha, which consists of beef wellington, mashed potatoes and green beans that the court said. The prosecutors claimed that their mother had tied the food with a deadly death hat mushrooms, also known as Amanita Phalloides.
