Police official deployed in Ashok Gehlot’s security arrested in paper leak case

Rajasthan Police’s Special Operations Group (SOG) arrested a chief officer assigned in the security of former Prime Minister Ashok Gehlot in connection with the paper leakage of the 2021 Lower Inspector Recruitment Exam.

The defendant President Rajkumar YADAV was the personal security guard of Mr. Gehlot (PSO) during his term of office, and after the change of the government in December 2023, he continued as a member of the security personnel. Mr. Yadav claimed that he had taken paper illegally through a source and provided his son Bharat Yadav.

Bharat, who cleansed the written exam but failed a physical test, was arrested by SOG in a raid on Friday night with his father. Both were produced here on Saturday at a Judicial Magistrate Court and the police were detained until August 12th.

Mr. Yadav had previously served as a PSO for the former minister Mahendaneet Singh Malviya during the congress regime. Allegedly, Mr. Malviya, who received the Rajasthan Public Service Commission member, was allegedly received a recruitment certificate leaked from the personal secretary of the personal secretary Kdan Pandya.

Mr Pandya has been arrested by SOG on June 5th since then in connection with the case. In September 2021, 859 subsidiaries and detachment commanders were combined in the allegations of the exam, paper leakage and irregularity, but a cabinet sub -committee appointed by the Bharatia Janata Party government decided not to cancel it.

Reacting to the arrest of the police official and his son, Mr. Gehlot said on Saturday that if any person is interested in a crime, he should take the path of the law. “I hope that SOG will investigate this issue without any pressure and reach a logical conclusion,” he said.
