Police shoot man in Logan who allegedly threatened them with knife

Queensland Police have shot and seriously injured a man who allegedly threatened them with a knife in Logan.
Police were called to an incident in Logan Central overnight following reports of a man armed with a knife making threats.
When officers engaged the 27-year-old man, police allege the man approached them with a gun.
He was later shot by police.
Queensland police said officers immediately provided first aid before he was taken to Princess Alexandra Hospital.
The man’s condition is stable.
It has been declared a crime scene and there is no ongoing risk to public safety.
The matter is being investigated by the Ethical Standards Command under the supervision of the Crime and Corruption Commission.
